Overview

Minnesota State is committed to equity and inclusion through supplier diversity. We actively engage Targeted Group Businesses (TGBs), veteran-owned, and economically disadvantaged small businesses in our procurement processes.

Our goal is to ensure diverse suppliers have equitable opportunities to compete and succeed with our colleges and universities. Guided by the 2017 Minnesota Joint Disparity Study, we continue to expand inclusive sourcing to better serve our communities.

Program Requirements

To qualify for the Supplier Diversity program, your business must:

  1. Complete the Supplier Diversity Inclusion Form
  2. Be at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by women and/or minorities on a daily basis
  3. Be certified by at least one of:
    • State of Minnesota – Department of Administration
    • City of Saint Paul Central (CERT) Program
    • North Central Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC)
    • Women’s Business Development Center (WBENC)
  4. Submit a copy of your certification along with the form

Certification Process

If your business qualifies as a TGB, Economically Disadvantaged, or Veteran-Owned business, you can become certified through the Minnesota Department of Administration’s Office of Equity in Procurement.
